Scholars and Donors Luncheon Student SpeakersNiceville, FL - On Friday October 23rd, the Northwest Florida State College Foundation held their Annual Scholars and Donors Luncheon. This year, the NWF State College Foundation celebrated scholarship recipients and the donors who made their scholarships possible. The Foundation highlighted an 80% increase in awarded scholarships, when compared to five years ago. Held every fall, the luncheon provides an opportunity for students to meet and thank their donors in person. Donors are seated with their scholars and are able to learn first-hand how their generosity impacts students.

Two student scholars, Cadey Moody and Colby Detwiler, spoke on behalf of the scholars attending the luncheon and provided personal testimonials about how donors’ gifts are directly impacting NWF State College students. Ms. Moody won guests over with one of her favorite quotes: “Never get tired of doing little things for others; sometimes those little things occupy the biggest parts of their heart. And I know that standing here before each one of you today, my heart is incredibly full.”

Also celebrated at this year’s luncheon were the establishment of the Foundation’s most recent endowments by recognizing them as inductees into the Visionary Society. NWF State College Foundation’s Visionary Society program provides recognition to the elite group of donors committed to building a strong foundation for years to come through the establishment of an endowment.
