Niceville, FL - On Monday, November 30, 2015, Eileen Arpke gave $20,000 to the NWF State College Foundation to establish the Eileen H. Arpke Scholarship Endowment. This merit-based scholarship will be used to provide scholarship support for a Northwest Florida State College student who plans to matriculate to a four-year institution.
Eileen H. Arpke began her relationship with Northwest Florida State College (formerly Okaloosa-Walton Community College) as a college trustee, serving from 1987 - 1994. Since that time, she has remained involved with the college as a member of the Raider Club, Northwest Florida Symphony Conductor's Circle, and as a member of the Northwest Florida Symphony Guild. As a volunteer she served as the Symphony Guild's Concerto Competition Coordinator for many years and held numerous leadership positions in the Symphony Guild. Most recently, she served on the college's 50th Anniversary Committee. She continues to serve as an usher for the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center.
Her energy and love for the college are boundless. She is as generous as she is energetic. In addition to her annual support and gifts, Eileen and her late husband, Charles, established the Charles and Eileen Endowed Scholarship in 1991 and in 2011 named the Charles K. and Eileen H. Arpke room on the third floor of the Student Services Center.
Thank you Eileen!
