2016 Foundation Scholarship Application Period Extended
Updated April 2, 2016
Niceville, FL - Need money for school? The 2016 NWF State College Foundation scholarship application deadline has been extended from March 31 to April 30, 2016.
The Northwest Florida State College Foundation offers more than three hundred scholarship awards annually to students who attend Northwest Florida State College. Opportunities are based on:
- Academic achievement
- Financial need
- Diverse and unique backgrounds
- Specific major and career choices
- Community service
Awards provide scholarship support for tuition and books. Only one Foundation Scholarship may be awarded to a student. Awards are non-transferable. Applications for Foundation scholarships are available online during the spring term for the following academic year. Applicants need only complete one Foundation scholarship application to be considered for all appropriate Foundation scholarships.
For information call (850) 729-5370.
The Foundation Scholarship Committee will review and select Scholarship recipients. Initial notification on Intent to Award will begin in May 2016 through NWF State College student E-Mail only. Be sure to check weekly in your spam email box on both your forwarded email account and college email account for a notification. Many students forfeit their scholarship by not returning their signed contract and thank you letter in the time allotted.
Checklist for Scholarship Consideration
- Complete Admissions to Northwest Florida State College
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) for 2016-17
- Complete and submit Academic Works Scholarship Application
- Students must answer the short essay questions
- Students must apply for each recommended scholarship individually at the end of the Academic Works application
Note: About 75% of the scholarships will be "auto-matched" based on your inputted information and data from the NWF State College Student system.
