NICEVILLE, FL — With a pledge of $25,000, Foundation Board member Bo Arnold and wife Charlotte plan to establish the Charlotte Arnold Fine Arts Scholarship Endowment at Northwest Florida State College.

Charlotte earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from California State University, Los Angeles. Early on in her career, Charlotte worked as a technical illustrator, until she moved to Florida in 1988 and began a career in fine art. For over 30 years, Charlotte has been painting, studying and honing her artistic skills. She owned her own studio and gallery in Seaside, Florida in the 1990s, founded the Emerald Coast Plein Air Painters, and used her art to fundraise for various local charities in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.

The Arnolds are committed to helping students with financial needs in their pursuit of a college education, especially in the fine arts. The couple understands the importance of education and the financial hardship suffered by many pursuing their dreams of attending college. Bo has been on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Florida State College Foundation since 2016, and is very familiar with financial needs of local students.

Charlotte and Bo are pleased to be able to establish the Charlotte Arnold Fine Arts Scholarship Endowment which will provide scholarship support to Northwest Florida State College students with demonstrated financial need. First priority shall be given to students enrolled in a visual arts concentration or in fine arts courses.

“The arts encourage creative minds and collaborative communities, which are both core aspects of our strategic plan here at Northwest Florida State College,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of Northwest Florida State College. “We are thankful to the Arnolds for their generosity and dedication to helping students reach their educational goals.”
