2019 Rising Star Award Recipient

Foster Lux graduated from Crestview High School a month after completing her A.A. degree in Pre-Engineering at Northwest Florida State College. She excelled in traditional high school activities such as band, tennis, and high school level engineering classes — all while taking advantage of college-level courses as a dual-enrolled student at NWFSC. In 2014 she was awarded the NWF Outstanding Math Student Award. Following graduation, she enrolled at the University of Alabama, where she was active in IEEE (technical professional organization) and Crimson Hacks. In 2018 she was named University of Alabama’s Outstanding Computer Engineer Senior at the University of Alabama. Foster currently works as a software engineer in Huntsville, Alabama.
